The valedictorian and salutatorian at W.S. Neal High school will both graduate with GPAs above 4.0 — and both have big plans for the future.
Anthony Nathan Frazier, the valedictorian, is set to attend Auburn University-Montgomery, with plans to be a pre-med major.
Frazier, who has a 4.7 weighted GPA, is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Tony Frazier.
His special honors include Who’s Who Among American High School Seniors, National Honor Society and Alabama Boys State.
He was an Emory Scholars nominee and a Congressional Leadership-Lead America nominee, and he is a Southern Pine Electric Co-op school representative.
Frazier was a starting wide receiver on the W.S. Neal football team in grades 10 through 12; a varsity baseball player in 11th and 12th grade; and a member of the math team.
Frazier said his favorite teacher is Memory Bollin, and the course that was most difficult for him was economics.
He had some advice for incoming freshmen.
Alysa Etheree Ford has been named salutatorian for the class of 2009 at W.S. Neal High School with a  4.5 weighted grade point average.
Ford is the daughter of Pam Hodge and James Ford Sr.
She plans to become a pediatric nurse.
Ford was color guard captain, a delegate to Girls State, and a Junior Miss essay winner.
Her extracurricular activities include marching band, color guard, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Neal Eagle Ambassadors and Junior Miss.
Ford said Mrs. Waller is her favorite teacher, and her hardest course was government.
Ford had practical advice for incoming freshmen.
