Mrs. Lillie Hallford Stone, 88, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of McKenzie, and a long-time residence of Brewton. She was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church and a retired bank manager from East Brewton First National Bank with 50 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Stone; her brother, James “Jim” C. Hallford; and two sisters, Johnnie Belle Batson and Voncille Barnes.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret A. Stone of Mobile; a nephew, Gordon R. (Fay) Batson of Brewton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
