Mr. Solomon Kyles Sr., 76, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at his residence. He was a retired farmer and was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Nancy Kyles.
He is survived by his wife, Annie M. Kyles of Flomaton; four daughters, Annie (Eddie) Davis of Century, Fla., Corean (Ronald) Williams and Ivory (Anthony) Kyles-Stallworth, both of Pensacola, Fla., and Tonya Kyles-Stotts of Flomaton; six sons, Solomon Kyles Jr., Timmy (Rita) Kyles and Adam Kyles, all of Flomaton, David (Vanessa) Kyles of Brewton, Dobbie Kyles of Minnesota, and Lynn (Alise) Kyles of South Carolina; three sisters, Jane Alice (Charles) Kyles and Mary Alice Peavy, both of Atmore, and Georgia Mae Shower of Century; four brothers, James (Ora D.) Kyles, A.C. (Christine) Kyles of Atmore, Leonard Kyles, and Leroy (Diane) Kyles, both of Chicago, Ill.; 28 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, at 3 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church in Century, with the Rev. Irvin B. Stallworth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Atmore, with Turner Funeral Home directing.
