Claudette hit the gulf coast early this morning, bringing rain and wind, but was later downgraded to a tropical depression.
As of 7 a.m., Claudette had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and was expected to bring more rain to the Brewton area during the morning.
Escambia County remains under a flash flood watch until this evening.
