Fishing Day to take place at JDCC
The Alabama South Fishers of Men group is preparing for their annul kids/senior citizens Fishing Day to be held Saturday, Oct. 17 at the small pond at JDCC on Alco Drive in Brewton.
Children will be allowed to keep five catfish. The day will begin at 7 a.m. and end at noon. All children ages 15 and younger are invited to participate.

JD to host Murder Creek Classic
The Jefferson Davis Community College Foundation will host its annual golf tournament, the Murder Creek Classic, Thursday, Oct. 15 at noon at the Country Club of Brewton.
Check-in and lunch will begin at 11 a.m.
Tournament proceeds will be used to fund Foundation projects, primarily scholarships. Also, the BankTrust Closest-to-the-Pin Shootout will be held.
