JDCC volleyball goes 1-3 in recent stretch

In a recent four game stretch the Lady Warhawk volleyball team of Jefferson Davis Community College suffered their fifth straight loss before ending the run with a win.
JDCC was set to be back in action Tuesday at home against Southern Union.
The team will close out their regular season on the road Wednesday at Pensacola Junior College at 6 p.m.
Southern Union 3,
JDCC 0
JDCC lost 3-0 to Southern Union to fall to 8-21.
JDCC lost 25-12, 25-16, and 25-7 in the three-game set.
Kaitlyn Melendez led JDCC with six kills, 23 attacks, and five digs along with five from Sydney Boutwell.
Kelsey Cook led with one service ace.
Gadsden State 3,
JDCC 0
Against Gadsden State, JDCC lost 25-22, 25-20, and 25-19 to suffer their fourth straight loss.
Antwinique Harris led with five kills and Melendez led with 30 attacks.
Lauren Himel led with three aces and Boutwell had 14 digs in the loss.
Gulf Coast CC 3,
JDCC 1
Gulf Coast took the first two games against JDCC 25-12 and 25-14 before JDCC cut the game to 2-1 with a 25-23 win in game two.
After the JDCC win, Gulf Coast claimed a 25-17 in set four to drop JDCC to 8-2 with their fifth straight loss.
Niki Davis led with nine kills and Harris led with 31 attacks.
Chelsey Slone had three aces and Boutwell led with 14 digs.
JDCC 3,
Lawson State 1
After five straight losses, the Lady Warhawks got back in the win column with a 3-1 win over Lawson State to improve to 9-22 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
JDCC won game one 25-17 before falling in game two 25-22.
After the loss in game two, JDCC picked up wins in game three and four to get the win. JDCC won 25-22 and 26-24 in the two remaining sets.
Barr led with 11 kills in the win and 36 attacks along with Harris.
Slone had three aces and Boutwell had 14 digs.
