Mr. Lloyd L. Harper, 90, died Monday, July 7, 2003 in an Ann Arbor, Michigan hospital. He was a native of Georgiana and had lived most of his life in Flomaton. He was a member of Flomaton United Methodist Church. He and his wife operated Western Auto store in Flomaton for 35 years and he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae A. Harper.
He is survived by a son, Gareth Devon Harper of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Elaine Grover of Plymouth, Mich.; one sister, Eva Wright of Monroeville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Cemetery with grandsons, Michael Grover and Ben Grover and Rev. Jesse Lough officiating and Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Memorial donations may be made to Marygrove College Hand bell Fund, Mrs. Elaine Grover, 8425 West McNichols Road, Detroit, Mich. 48221. The handle of a hand bell will be inscribed with the donor's name in memory of the deceased.
