East Brewton’s Termites traveled to Andalusia on Saturday, Nov. 7, in hopes of becoming the 2009 Tri-County Super Bowl Champions.
The only thing standing between East Brewton and the championship game against Andalusia were the Crestview Bulldogs.
Crestview jumped out ahead in the first quarter of play by a score of 13-0.
In spite of a 30-yard touchdown pass to Tyshawn Davis (No. 22) and a 49-yard touchdown run by quarterback Joseph Booker (No. 11) that tied the game at 13-13 early in the third quarter. East Brewton’s termite defense could not hold off the Bulldog’s and ended their season with a loss to Crestview by a final score of 27-13.
East Brewton’s Termites do, however, hold the title of 2009 Tri-County West Division Champions. Winners of the 2009 Tri-County Super Bowl were as follows: Tiny Mites- Andalusia; Termites- Andalusia; PeeWee’s- Georgiana.
