Girls in the Brewton area may soon have the chance to play Little League softball.
Area Brewton parents are getting involved in establishing Little League softball for ages 9-10 and 11-12 under the Brewton Little League Charter. 
A meeting will be held for interested girls and parents Monday, Feb. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Brewton Public Library.
Parents met with Brewton Little League President Steve Parker and various Little League board members Tuesday evening to try and get the ball rolling.
Pollitte said the reason why they wanted to do this, she can only answer from her perspective. 
Chip Peach has accepted the position as Little League Softball Coordinator.
Signups for the league will be held on Feb. 22, 23 and 25, although the location has not been secured as of yet.
