The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team had the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles and the Florala Lady Wildcats seeing pink Tuesday night at home as they swept a doubleheader  14-1 and 11-1 respectively.
The win for the Lady Tigers improved them to 8-2 this season while W.S. Neal fell to 3-8 with their eighth straight loss.
Also while the Lady Tigers won, it was “Pink” night at the ball field as the Lady Tigers and fans wore pink for breast cancer awareness and to help raise money for the Relay for Life.
For the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles, one bad inning and miscues in the field was the difference in the game as it has been in their current eight-game losing streak.

Leading 2-1 after the top of the third inning, the Lady Tigers of Brewton scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and nine in the fourth to defeat W.S. Neal 14-1.
T.R. Miller scored one run each in the first and second inning while W.S. Neal was held to only one run in the third inning.
Guthrie took the win on the mound for T.R. Miller as she went four innings allowing one hit, one run, walked one and struck out eight.
Laurel Billy went the final inning allowing two walks and striking out one.
Kaitlin Hadaway took the loss on the mound for the Lady Eagles of W.S. Neal as she went four innings and allowed nine hits, 14 runs, walked two and struck out two.
Kena Ellison was 1-for-2 at the plate for W.S. Neal getting the lone hit.
Heather Elliott scored the lone run.
For T.R. Miller at the plate, Leah Brundidge was 2-for-4 with one RBI and Natalie Neal was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Guthrie was 1-for-3 with one RBI and a triple and Teralyn Moore was 1-for-4.
Emily Waters was 2-for-3 with one RBI and two triples and Audrey Hamric was 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Florala 1
Guthrie held Florala two one run on two hits while T.R. Miller used a five-run third inning to help finish the day with a doubleheader sweep and defeat Florala 11-1.
Florala’s lone run came in the first inning while the Lady Tigers scored one run in the first, five in the third, three in the fourth, and two in the sixth inning to get the win by 10 runs.
Guthrie earned the win going six innings and allowing two hits, one run, struck out five, walked three, and hit one.
Brundidge was 2-for-4 with a double and Moore was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Waters was 1-for-4 with an RBI and Kristen Booker was 1-for-3 with a double and the two game-winning RBIs in the sixth inning.
Leigh Margaret Bostic was 1-for-3 with a double.

Flomaton 12
After being down 10-0 in the top of the fourth inning, the Lady Tigers of Brewton came back to defeat Flomaton for the first time in six years 14-12 Thursday night in Flomaton.
White said the team had a few defensive errors early in the game that kind of helped put us in the hole that they were in, but at the end of the game had several big plays on defense that helped us win the game.
Taylor Guthrie took the win on the mound going seven innings and allowing eights hits and eight walks and struck out four.
Also in the win, with the Lady Tigers winning 14-12 in the bottom of the seventh inning, they held the Lady Hurricanes without scoring after Flomaton loaded the bases in the inning.
Leah Brundidge was 3-for-4 in the win and Natalie Neal had a double, and a triple. Emily Waters, Bostic, Hamric, and Kadejah Palmore added hits in the win for the Lady Tigers.
The JV Lady Tigers lost 2-1 in five innings to the Lady Hurricanes  to fall to 4-3 overall this season. Stats were not available as of press time.
