Mr. James Donald Spencer, 79, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at his residence in Starkville. He was a native of Calhoun County, Miss. and a long time resident of Brewton before moving to Starkville.
He was a forester for Container Corporation of America at one time.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the korean War and was a member of First Baptist Church of Starkville.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Winnice Spencer of Starkville; his son, Scott (Kim) Spencer of Pelham;  Sarah Spencer of Pelham; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 21, from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21 at 1 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, Miss., with the Rev. Chip Stevens and the Rev. Clifton Curtis officiating.
Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, with Coleman Funeral Home directing.
