Atmore police are looking for information about an armed robbery at the Kangaroo Express on U.S. 31 in Atmore.

The incident happened just after midnight Tuesday, officers said. The clerk told police a black male entered the store with a gun and told her to open the register.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, running toward Rachel Patterson Elementary School. The clerk was not injured.

Officers searched using the K-9 tracking team from the Alabama Department of Corrections but did not find the suspect.

The clerk received no injuries during the process of this crime.
