Janes, Ewing wed in May ceremony

Amy Michele Ewing and Jeffrey Chad Janes, both of Nashville, Tenn. were married May 10, 2003 in a 6 p.m. ceremony at Temple Baptist Church in Rushton, La. with Rev. Carter Crenshaw officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Oliver Ewing of Rushton. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wallace of Shreveport, La., Lew Ewing of Quitman, La. and the late Louise Ewing.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Janes of Castleberry. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cain and Mrs. Jessie Lee Janes, all of Castleberry and the late John Wilton Janes.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white duchesse satin silk designed by Vera Wang. It featured a strapless, fitted bodice and a full-pleated ball gown skirt, with a French bustle train. The headdress featured a pearl tiara and double layered, chapel-length veil embellished with pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis and miniature calla lilies.
Amy Johnson of Birmingham served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Ewing of Baton Rouge, La., Serena Davis, Jennifer Jones and Jennifer Osborne, all of Nashville, Kellye Ratcliff of Rushton and Ashley Manning of Monroe, La. They wore strapless gowns in celedon matte taffeta. They carried bouquets of pick peonies.
The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Britt Ward of Montgomery, Ryan McLendon of San Antonio, Texas, Adam Ewing of Baton Rouge, Jeff Carrier of Evergreen and Hunter Findley of Dallas, Texas.
Ushers were Brandon Ewing of Rushton and Wendall Harris of Nashville. Elizabeth Anne Ewing of Rushton served as flower girl and Barton Bradley Ewing, of Baton Rouge was the ring bearer.
The scripture reader was Holly Childress of Nashville. Book attendants were Jennifer Rigell of Gulf Shores and Kim Todd of Castle Rock, Colo. Music was provided by Chris Davis and Tanya Butler, both of Nashville.
Others who participated in the wedding were the Children's Chorus; Allison Ewing, Marley Ratcliff and Sidney Ratcliff, all of Rushton; Margaret Manning and Jefferson Manning, both of Monroe; Hope Harris, Hannah Harris, Emma Claire Davis and Adelaide Davis, all of Nashville.
They were honored with a rehearsal May 9, at Melody Meadows, where the groom's parents played hosts.
A wedding reception was held at Squire Creek Country Club. Following a wedding trip to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands the couple will reside in Nashville.
