The Brewton Middle School Lady Tiger basketball team remained undefeated Tuesday night at home while the boys improved their records with home wins over Earnest Ward.
The Lady Tigers improved to 6-0 with a 34-21 win over Earnest Ward while the boys improved to 4-2 with a 24-23 win.
Both teams will be off until Monday, Nov. 29 when they will travel to take on Jay. The girls will play at 4 p.m. while the boys will play at 5 p.m.

BMS Lady Tigers 34, Earnest Ward 21
Leading 13-7 at halftime, the Lady Tigers used a 15-0 run to start the third quarter to help cruise their way to a 13-point win Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers led 11-4 after the first quarter but was outscored 3-2 in the second quarter to lead by six at halftime, 13-7.
In the third quarter, the Lady Tigers outscored Earnest Ward 17-2 to hold a 30-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Earnest Ward stormed back to hold a 12-4 advantage in the quarter but Brewton held on for the win.
Brewton was 2-for-4 from the free throw line in the win while Earnest Ward was 3-for-16.
Tempest Thomas led Brewton with 13 points followed by Emonea Curry with nine points, Shakira Nicholson with eight points and Keona Banks with four.

BMS boys 24, Earnest Ward 23
In a thrilling and exciting and somewhat controversial game Tuesday night, the Brewton Middle School boys edged out Earnest Ward 24-23 to improve to 4-2.
Trailing 18-13 with 5:15 left in the third quarter, Brewton went on a 4-0 run to end the third quarter trailing 17-18.
The Tigers continued on their run in the fourth quarter to make it an 8-0 run to lead 21-18 with 5:14 left in the game.
Earnest Ward would cut the lead to 21-20 with 3:27 left in the game before Trae Walker made a free throw to give Brewton a 22-20 lead with 1:36 left in the game. Walk would then put Brewton on top 24-20 but Earnest Ward would later cut the lead to 24-23 with 39.4 seconds left.
Brewton then stole the inbound pass but had the ball stolen back by Earnest Ward as the Eagles desperation shot fell short and Brewton hung on for the win.
The controversial part of the game came at the end when Brewton was said to have 22 points instead of 24 which would have them lose the game by one point, but Brewton was declared the winner by official scorebook.
The game was tied 10-10 after the first quarter and Brewton trailed 16-13 at halftime after being outscored 6-3 in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Brewton outscored Earnest Ward 4-2 to trail 18-17 heading into the fourth. In the fourth, Brewton outscored Earnest Ward 7-5 to get the win.
Brewton was 4-for-9 from the free throw line while Earnest Ward was 5-for-13.
Trin Miller led Brewton with eight points while Chris Jones and Trae Walked had six points each. Jones Manning and Ronald Young had two points each.
