WSN basketball girls and varsity fall at Satsuma Friday night

In a Friday night road trip to Satsuma, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagle and varsity Eagle basketball teams saw losses.
The Lady Eagles lost to Satsuma 40-30 while the varsity Eagles lost 73-20. With the losses, the Lady Eagles dropped their record to 1-13 while the varsity Eagles fell to 3-14.
No B-team game was played.
Satsuma 40, WSN Lady Eagles 30
The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles, after defeating Satsuma in the first game of the season at home, lost Friday night by 10 points.
The loss was the 12th straight loss for the Lady Eagles after defeating the Lady Gators earlier in East Brewton.
W.S. Neal trailed 10-4 after the first quarter but tied the game at 18-18 at the half following six-point advantage, 14-8, in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Satsuma took a 27-24 lead following a 9-6 advantage in the quarter and then outscored the Lady Eagles 13-6 in the fourth to get the 10-point win.
Keyvonnia Kyles and Arianna Jones both had seven points in the loss while Tiana Smith and Angelique Askew had four points each along with Megan Andrews.
Glenashia Butler had two points along with Khadijah Barton.
Satsuma 73, WSN 20
In varsity action Friday night in Satsuma, the varsity Eagles lost by 53 points, 73-20.
Dalton Evans led W.S. Neal with 10 points in the loss.
No other stats were known from the game as of press time.
