Brewton Sportsman’s Club offering summer programs

The Brewton Sportsman’s Club is preparing for its Adult Co-ed Summer Softball program that will be held at the Brewton Sportsman’s Park. Any civic social church or individual teams that would like to participate in it will meet, Monday, May 2 at 6 p.m. at the Brewton Sportsman’s Club on Martin Luther King Drive. There will be no registration fee required and the park will provide the balls. Scheduling will be assigned once teams are organized. Also, the Brotherhood of Community Churches is preparing for its summer program of basketball, T-Ball, and coach pitch softball. The program is designed to keep our area youth busy and active with fun for the summer. This year’s program will run from Friday, June 3 through Saturday, July 30. The basketball games will be held on every Friday and Saturday in the Brewton Middle School gymnasium with the T-ball and softball being held at the Brewton Sportsman’s Park. The age limits will be from 5-18 years of age. The committee of the Brotherhood is asking any civic and church organization to join by participating in the programs. Each group is asked to send a representative to each meeting to be held on Monday, May 23 at the Brewton Sportsman’s Park at 6 p.m. Additional information will be given at this time to relay to home organizations.
