EB Yankees and Jays pick up recent wins in EB Cal Ripken games

The East Brewton Yankees and the East Brewton Jays softball teams were the only two East Brewton teams to pick up recent wins in East Brewton Cal Ripken games.
The East Brewton Yankees defeated the East Brewton Red Sox 7-4 while the East Brewton Jays defeated the Flomaton Canes 13-12.
In other girls softball action, the Brewton Blazin’ Babes defeated the East Brewton Nationals 14-13 and Flomaton defeated the East Brewton Orioles 19-3.
In 11- and 12-year-old baseball, the Brewton Yankees took down the East Brewton Giants 10-7 while the Brewton Orioles edged out the East Brewton Giants 10-9. In 9-10 action, the Brewton Cardinals defeated the East Brewton Marlins 16-8.

EB Yankees 7, EB Red Sox 4
Jennings Hobbs and Jacoby Hawthorne combined to pitch a one-hitter against the East Brewton Red Sox as the Yankees won 7-4.
Hobbs and Hawthorne combined to allow four runs, one hit, walked nine and struck out 14.
Alex Weaver was 2-for-3 with a triple and Cameron Cannon was 1-for-2. Dominique Beasley was 1-for-2 with a double.
For the Red Sox, Marcus Dillard and Tucker Davenport pitched and combined to allow seven runs, five hits, walked four and stuck out six.
Davenport had the lone hit for the Red Sox as he went 1-for-2 with a triple.
The Red Sox made six errors in the loss to the Yankees’ one.

EB Jays 13, Flomaton 12
In a game that saw 25 combined runs and only six combined hits, the East Brewton Jays edged out the Flomaton Canes 13-12.
Abbie Sessions and Catlyn Chavers combined to pitch in the win for East Brewton allowing 12 runs, two hits, walked 16 and struck out three.
Ashlynn Graves was 2-for-2 with two doubles in the win and Marisha Frasier was 1-for-3. Andrea Hammac was 1-for-2.
For Flomaton, Angel Shore and Megan Engle pitched allowing a combined 13 runs, four hits, walked 13 and struck out four. Shore and Alex Lambeth were both 1-for-1 in the loss.

Brewton Blazin’ Babes 13, EB Nationals 13
The Brewton Blazin’ Babes picked up a close win over the East Brewton Nationals as they won 14-13.
Mallori Floyd, Morgan Longmire and Gabbi Solomon pitched in the win allowing a combined 13 runs, three hits, walked 13 and struck out eight.
Longmire was 2-for-4 and Hayley Thompson and Tamika Rudolph were both 1-for-3
Allison Graves was 2-for-2 and Solomon was 1-for-2.
For the Nationals, Aleigh Lanier pitched in the loss allowing 14 runs, seven hits, walked eight and struck out two.
Lanier was 2-for-3 at the plate and Dominique Jackson was 1-for-2.

Flomaton Canes 19, East Brewton Orioles 3
In other softball action, Flomaton rolled to a 19-3 win over the Orioles.
Madilyn Kent allowed three runs, three hits, walked six and struck out five in the win.
At the plate, Aleiha Emmons was 2-for-3 with a double and Sky Gorum was 1-for-3 along with Rebekah Turner who had a double.
Madison McFadden was 1-for-3 and Lizzie Nichols and Kent were both 1-for-2.
For the Orioles, Haleigh Dubose, Tori Wyatt and Madison Winchester pitched in the loss allowing 19 runs, seven hits, walked 14 and struck out 10.
Kyndra Collins was 1-for-1 along with Jena Wyatt. Shaena Kaylor was 1-for-3.

Brewton Yankees 10, EB Giants 7
In interleague play, the Brewton Yankees took down the East Brewton Giants 10-7.
Joshua Winton and Jason Kaylor pitched in the win for the Yankees allowing seven runs, six hits, walked four and struck out 14.
Joshua Winton led the way for the Yankees going 4-for-4 with one double and Hayden Atkinson was 1-for-3 along with Steven McCall and Preston Townsend.
Konsler was 1-for-3 with a double and Troy Lewis was 1-for-4 with a double. Ty McFerrin was 1-for-4 with a triple.
For the Giants, Blake McGraw and Conner Huskey pitched allowing 10 runs, 11 hits, walked three and struck out nine.
TyShawn Davis was 3-for-4 with a double and Derrick Barton was 1-for-4.
McGraw was 1-for-3 with a triple and Marcus Simmons was 1-for-2.

Brewton Orioles 10, EB Giants 9
The Giants took their second straight loss as the Brewton Orioles won 10-9.
Stokes Jennings was 1-for-4 and Hunter Brittain was 3-for-3 with a double.
Jordan Williams was 1-for-2 with a triple and Russell Smith was 2-for-4. Joshua Gunter was 1-for-3 along with Andrew Etheridge.
For the Giants, TyShawn Davis pitched and allowed 10 runs, eight hits, walked four and struck out 12.
Davis was 2-for-4 with a double and Derrick Barton was 1-for-4 with a double. Conner Huskey, Tyler Williams, Brandon Moye, Marcus Simmons, and Aaron Bosarge all had hits in the loss.

Brewton Cardinals 16, EB Marlins 8
The Brewton Cardinals doubled up the East Brewton Marlins 16-8 in games Monday night in East Brewton.
Drew Reed and Landon Qualls pitched in the win for the Cardinals and allowed eight runs, eight hits, walked two and struck out 11.
A.J. Walker was 2-for-5 at the plate in the win and Hunter Johnson was 3-for-4. Qualls was 2-for-3 and Cameron Knapp was 1-for-3. Brandon Smith, Brandon Coleman and Reed all had hits in the win and Logan Bush was 3-for-3 with a triple.
For the Marlins, Dylan Ingram and Caleb Kaylor pitched in the loss and allowed 16 runs, 14 hits, walked five and struck out three.
Matt Thomas was 3-for-3 with a triple and Kaylor, Jacob Crane, Dylan Ingram, Jacob Bondurant and Kage Kennedy all had hits in the loss.
