Mr. Gerald Eugene Pearson, 56, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002 at a Mobile hospital. He was a native of Minneapolis, Minn., a former resident of Los Angeles, Calif. and a resident of Mineola since 1984. He was an employee of Helena Chemical Company and attended the Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Wood Pearson of Mineola; his mother, Joy E. Pearson of Mesa, Ariz.; a step-son, Frank Wood of Lawrenceville, Ga; three brothers, Paul F. Pearson of Wilmer, Bruce Pearson of Oakland, Calif. and Alan Pearson of Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Linda Salem of Los Angeles, Calif., Alice Hardecopf of Leroy, Minn. and Phyllis Silvas of Mesa, Ariz.; three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Dean officiating. Burial followed at Mineola Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Doug Smith, Scottie Smith, Don Smith, Joe Armstrong, Clint Fasser and Jim Jordan.
