Mrs. Cupidene Franklin, 71, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 in a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Elba, Ala. and had lived in Escambia County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Franklin and a son, James H. "Jimmy:" Franklin.
She is survived by a son, Mark Richard Franklin of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a brother, Dub Davis of East Brewton; a sister, Olene White of Waycross, Ga.; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at Catawba Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Yuhasz officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Billy Davis, Gene Lamkin, Walker Williams, Tim Hawsey, Miles Franklin and Ronnie Johns.
