Mr. Arthur Deese Sr., 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003 in Monroeville. He was a native of Atmore and a resident of Monroeville for two years. He was retired from Alabama Power Company with over 10 years service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clementine Deese.
He is survived by two daughters, Thelma Jackson of Atmore and Ann Wiley of Monroeville; two sons, Arthur Deese Jr. of Tuscaloosa and David Deese of Clinton, Md.; one sister, Anna Merrill of Cantonment, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with Rev. Ywell K. Cunningham of Bethel Baptist Church of Monroeville officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
