Mr. Albert Thomas MacKey II, 56, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at a local hospital. He was a native of Atmore and a resident of Nokomis for most of his life. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and attended the Baptist church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alvin Slay; his father, Albert Thomas MacKey Jr.; a brother, Joey Albert; a sister, Thelma Denise Albert and his dad, Joseph R. Albert.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Slay Albert of Nokomis; two sons, Brad Rowell of Flomaton and Thomas MacKey of Nokomis; two daughters, Samantha Rowell of Brewton and Carrie Walton of Atmore; two brothers, Garry MacKey of Lexington, Ken. and John Albert of Pensacola, Fla. and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Gary MacKey officiating and Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
