Paul ‘Pete’ Millard Haveard

Mr. Paul “Pete” Millard Haveard, 84, of Holmes Avenue, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and long time resident of Escambia County. He was a member of Elim Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II and Korean conflict, a member of the American Legion, and a retired boiler operator from St. Regis Paper Company with 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah V. Betty Haveard of East Brewton; three daughters, Sarah Schatz of Sullivan, Mo., Doris Ryals of East Brewton, and Debra (John) Wilson of Roberts; a brother, Charles Eugene (Dean) Haveard of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Margaret (Jesse) Stagner of Mobile; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday night July 26, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at Elim Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Elim Cemetery in Roberts, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
