WSNMS volleyball splits with Jay

In a double match at home Monday against Jay, the W.S. Neal Middle School volleyball team split to see their record go to 2-1.
In game one, W.S. Neal won 2-1 but lost 2-0 in the second game.
In game one, W.S. Neal lost the first set 25-22 but won set two 25-16 and set three 15-8.
In game two, set one, the Lady Eagles lost 25-7 and 26-24 in set two.
W.S. Neal was set to play T.R. Miller Tuesday at home and will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 8 against Flomaton at W.S. Neal High School at 4 p.m.
Game one: WSNMS 2, Jay 1
In the first match, Jay defeated W.S. Neal 25-22.
For the Lady Eagles, Maddie Bush had seven service points, Tiffany Robinson had five service points, and Alyssa English and Karissa Johnson had three each. Madison Winchester had two points and Taylor Burns and Emily Ann Cooper scored one each.
In game two, Robinson had six, Winchester and Donnavia Williams had five each with Johnson and Haleigh Dubose having three. Burns, English and Kametria Lawson had one.
In game three, Winchester had seven, English had six and Dubose had two.
Game two: Jay 2, WSNMS 0
In the 2-0 loss to Jay in game two, Robinson and Winchester had two points each in the game one loss followed by Dubose, English and Johnson with one each.
In game two, Johnson had six, Madison Bush and English had four, Dubose and Winchester had three and Heather Martin and Burns had two each.
