UPDATED (Thursday): Blair remains missing, search underway

Officials with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department are continuing their search for a Brewton man reported missing Tuesday by his family members.
Rufus David Blair, 77, went missing after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning and a search by law enforcment officials, family and friends have turned up no leads in his disappearance.
Blair is believed to have left his home in a 2003 white Buick LaSabre, license plate 30A97H2.
Blair’s car was found at Wednesday evening near Red Wine Creek in the Castleberry community and officials have said a shoe was found in the creek as well.
Volunteers are urged to join search teams already in the Castleberry community.
Sheriff’s officials are asking anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Blair or the missing vehicle to contact them by calling 809-0741, 809-2154 or by calling 911.
