A healthy Alabama Blueberry Festival is an important part of a healthy Brewton, and you can do your part in contributing to the event's success by dropping in on its 24th annual installment next Saturday, June 19. And you're practically assured of having a good time while you're at it.
The Festival will, as always, feature food, arts and crafts, and live entertainment. Many of the food vendors will be there representing local churches and civic organizations, who count festival-related earnings a major part of the fundraising activities for the year.
There are expected to be in the neighborhood of 170 artists and crafters displaying their wares at the festival, which for the 10th year will be held on the campus of Jefferson Davis Community College. In addition to the arts and crafts displays, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase Blueberry T-shirts and copy of the Chamber of Commerce's Blueberry Cookbook.
And, of course, blueberries and blueberry bushes.
So stop by the festival next weekend, and be a part of this important event.
