Mrs. Bertha Mae Snowden, 85, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at a local hospital. She was a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of Gaines Chapel AME and a retired cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. Snowden and her son, Clarence Scott.
She is survived by two sisters, Lottie Johnson of El Paso, Texas and Ola Barnes of Atmore and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at Gaines Chapel AME Church in Atmore with Rev. A.T. Days officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
