Mrs. Leno Larice Nelson Scott, 68, of Alco died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Escambia County, Ala. and a former resident of Pensacola before moving back to Brewton in 1975. She was a retired nurse and was a member of the Appleton Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse F. Scott of Brewton; a son, Dewayne Carroll of Brewton; a daughter, Kathy Amerson of East Brewton; one brother, Jimmy Ray Nelson of Brewton; two sisters, Faye Batson and Lynn Dantzler, both of Brewton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Clifford Dixon and Seventy Wayne Ellis officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
