Mr. Calvin "Ray" Turner, 69, of Brewton died Friday, July 30, 2004 at a Pensacola, Fla. health care facility after a brief illness. He was a native of Wing and a life-long resident of Brewton. He was a retired control room operator with Container Corporation with 38 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of First Baptist Church of Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Nettles Turner of Brewton; two sons, Calvin Ray Turner Jr. of Dothan and Joey Turner of Brewton; two daughters, Teresa Lucas and Tracey Stewart, both of Brewton; one brother, Billy Wayne Turner of Brewton; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Aug. 1, 2004 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Brewton with the Rev. Jack Fitts and the Rev. Ron Headley officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
