If you missed last weekend's performances of Oklahoma, you missed a treat. Over 50 people from both Escambia Counties took part in the performances, presented by the Greater Escambia Council for the Arts.
We would like to thank everyone involved in the production. From the actors to the techies to the set designers to the public relations people people, you all helped to make this show one of our best yet. It was wonderful to see so many new and talented people become involved as well as seeing familiar faces once again. You truly embody the spirit of community theatre.
We would also like to thank our wonderful sponsors for all their help and generosity: United Bank, First National Bank, David's Catfish, Barnett's, The Atmore Advance, The Brewton Standard, The Tri-City Ledger, Sherry Digmon and atmore Magazine, Pepsi, Batesons's Furniture, Atmore Animal Hospital, the ECHS band and many others. Thanks for helping us bring the arts to our community.
Thank you too, to our loyal GECA members. Your help and support are invaluable to our success. Thanks again!
And most of all, to our audience: Thank you for supporting us, laughing and crying with us, sweating with us and suspending your disbelief long enough to travel with us to Oklahoma. You are the reason we are willing to give up our summers for this. Without you, there would be no theatre in Escambia County.
Phil Johnson, Lindsey Sherrill, the GECA Board of Directors and the Oklahoma cast and crew.
