Larry ‘Buck’ Woods

Mr. Larry ‘Buck’ Woods, 45, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. He was a 1984 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and he was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Woods and Maldotha Spears Woods; a brother, Claude Jones Woods; and two sisters, Ethel Jean Herbert and Virginia Fountain.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Jennifer Woods; two sons, Dana and Deandre Smith; a daughter, Raven Sierra Woods; four brothers, John (Mary), Arthur (Pearl), and Edward (Marjorie), all of Brewton, and Steve (Denise) Woods of Montgomery; three sisters, Nellie and Carrie Woods and Dianna (Kerry) Parker, all of Brewton; a goddaughter, Elisha Wilmer; his father and mother-in-law; godparents, Danny and Karen Parker; godbrother, Chris Parker; a godsister, Katie Parker Majors and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.F. Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Second Bethlehem Church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
