Mrs. Carolyn Odom Stacey, 70, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at a Santa Rosa County hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Century and attended the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Odom, Helen Campbell and Inez Hammond.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arthur "Buck" Stacey of Century; her son, Allen Stacey of Century; two daughters, Susan Smith of Brewton and Debbie Qualls Hamilton of Century; three brothers, Billy Odom of Century, Roy Odom of Flomaton and the Rev. Doug Odom of Atmore; a sister, Irene Odom Cash of Century; six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Cloud and the Rev. Gene Stokes officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
