Better access to medical care is one of the benefits United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton helps provide through the Disabled Children and Adults - Brewton Chapter.
John David Finlay said the Disabled Children and Adults organization, once known as the "Crippled Children Fund," works in cooperation with Easter Seals and the Escambia County Rescue Squad to provide transportation to disabled persons traveling to clinics around the state.
The organization also sponsors participants at Camp ASCAA on Lake Martin.
The Disabled Children and Adults organization is one of 15 agencies that will benefit from the $90,000 United Fund hopes to raise for 2005. To date, the organization had raised approximately $36,000.
