Leah Brook Davis of Helena, daughter of David and Sheila Davis of Monroeville, and Keith Ronald Payne, son of Paul and Phyllis Pierce of Hoover, announce their engagement.
The bride-to be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Peevy of and Mr. and Mrs. James Davis, all of Brewton. She is a 1997 graduate of Excel High School and attended Alabama Southern Community College, Auburn University and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor of arts degree in communication studies. She is currently employed as a loan processor at AmSouth Bank in Birmingham.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Margaret Gray of Hoover. He is a graduate of Hoover High School and attended Bessemer State. He is currently employed as a commercial plumber with Superior Mechanical, Inc. in Birmingham.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, Jan. 29, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Excel Baptist Church in Excel.
