Mr. James C. Mills, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. He was a native of Jemison, Ala., and had been a resident of Brewton since 1947. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a retired postal clerk and was a member of Alco Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Mills of Brewton; a son, Ronald F. Mills of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Jamianne Watson of Birmingham and Lynn (Kenny) Crutchfield of Brewton; a step-daughter, Janice (Woody) Ash of Uriah; a brother, Leo Mills of Brewton, and eight grandchildren, Chris Watson, Dan Watson, Adam Crutchfield, Matt Crutchfield, Whitney Mills, James Ash, Sharon Caraway and Lisa Huggins, and a great-grandchild, Ashlianne Caraway.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 8, at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Fitts officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Chris Watson, Dan Watson, Adam Crutchfield, Matt Crutchfield, Whitney Mills and Sam Adams.
