Carolyn Rachel Jordan Johnson

Mrs. Carolyn Rachel Jordan Johnson, 94, of Parker Springs Road in Wing, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Georgia and a former resident of Florala, before moving to Wing 58 years ago. She was a retired consultant with the United States Forestry Service and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyler Benson Johnson; and sons, Carl Ray Johnson and Tyler Johnson.
She is survived by a son, William S. Johnson of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Joann (Jimmy L.) Crews of Pace, Fla., and Peggy Patricia (Fred) Campbell of Pensacola; a niece, Lynn Gellner of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Betty (Roy) Doogle of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Florala with the Rev. Gerald Norris officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
