Mr. Albert Leroy Pierce, 58, died April 26, 2005. He was a native of Brewton and was a member of the United States Air Force with the Strategic Air Command during the war in Vietnam. He was a resident of Milton for the past 33 years and retired after 32 years with Exxon. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Milton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Ida Pierce of Brewton.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Woods Pierce; his children, Sonya Pierce (Nick) Anderson, Connie Pierce (Josh) Harris and Nathan Lamar (Holley) Pierce; brothers and sisters, Louis (Joe) Verhoestra, Samuel (Amelia) Pierce, Sandra (Max) Harper, Patsy (Ronnie) Crutchfield, Billy Jack (Barbara) Pierce, Sybile McCall, Boyd Pierce and Steve (Tami) Pierce; grandchildren, Anastasia Anderson, Andy Anderson, Aubrey Pierce, Jacob Harris and "Lucy" Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Donnie Sowell Funeral Home in Milton with the Rev. Dewey Mars officiating and Donnie Sowell Funeral Home directing.
