Mrs. Bertie Orie Carroll Green, 94, of Castleberry, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Conecuh County. She was a member of London Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Green and three sons, Otis Green, Howard Green and Glenn Green.
She is survived by her son, Everette (Helen) Green of Chicago, Ill.; her daughters, Mildred Crane and Norma Jean Watkins, both of Castleberry, and Judy (Jim) Baggett of Woodstock, Ga.; one sister, Juanita McMahan of Jacksonville, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Arnold officiating. Burial followed at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Lenox with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
