TRM track claims first in another home meet

The T.R. Miller girls and boys track meet claimed another first place finish Thursday at a four-school home meet.
The Lady Tigers placed first in the meet with 88 points followed by Monroe County in second with 27 points and W.S. Neal and Hillcrest tied for third with 14 total points.
In the boys meet, T.R. Miller placed first with 77 points, just ahead of Monroe County and Hillcrest who tied with 54 points and W.S. Neal with 25 points.
In the girls meet, T.R. Miller claimed first in the 4×800 relay event with a time of 11:21 and also claimed first in the 4×100 relay with a time of 53.41 to Hillcrest’s 57.34.
Morgan Rowell took first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.21 and also took first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 57.02.
Taylor Guthrie placed first in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. In the 100-meter, Guthrie came in first with a time of 13.49 and took first in the 200 with a time of 27.35.
Lauren Bradley placed first for T.R. Miller in the discus with a throw of 80-2 ¾ and Amber Nelson placed first in the high jump with a jump of 4-10. Leah Brundidge won the javelin with a throw of 112-1 and Amber Terry won the pole vault for the Lady Tigers with a vault of 6-1.
In the boys event, W.S. Neal took first ahead of T.R. Miller in the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 9:58 to T.R. Miller’s 10:15.
Ivory Miller won the 100-hurdles with a time of 16.72. In the high jump, Mark Bryant won with a jump of 5-10 and Nick Adams claimed first in the javelin with a throw of 151-6 and also took first in the pole vault with a vault of 10-6.
