Mr. Burlie Franklin Holt, 84, died Saturday, March 8, 2003 in a local hospital. He was a native of Lawrence County, Ala. and had been a resident of Brewton for the past three years, coming from Sheffield, Ala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Louise Holt; a son, Howard Timothy Holt and a grandson, Michael David Holt.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana Murphy of Brewton; one brother, Edward Overstreet of Decatur, Ala.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Garrett officiating. Burial followed at Zion Hill Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Frank Murphy, Charles Murphy, Tony Holt, Donald Holt, Barry Murphy and James Wilson.
