Mr. Raymond Clarence "R.C." Powell, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at his residence in Flomaton. He was a life long resident of the Flomaton community where he was a self-employed farmer. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Powell of Flomaton; two sons, Terry Powell and Raymond Lambeth, both of Flomaton; four daughters, Paulett Warren, Linda Miller and Debbie Powell, all of Flomaton, and Sally Gibson of Brewton; a sister, Eunice Smith of Flomaton; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Powell officiating. Burial followed at Posten Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
