WSN track athletes compete at state

While the W.S. Neal Eagle boys and girls track teams were not competing as a team at the state meet in Gulf Shores Friday and Saturday, there were a few individuals competing.
W.S. Neal’s 4×100-meter relay team competed but failed to rack up any points.
For the boys, W.S. Neal’s 4×800-meter team placed 21st with a time of 9:47.33 and Jacob Southwell competed in the high jump event, but recorded no height. Southwell also competed in the javelin event and recorded a throw of 118-1.
Montrel Banks competed in the discus event and placed 10th with a throw of 116-7.
