Mr. Miles Everette (Pete) Johns, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at his residence in Bay Minette. He was a retired superintendent with the state highway department.
He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Gladys (Eddins) Johns of Bay Minette; three sons, Charles E. (Ann) Johns of Brewton, Adrian T. (Myra) Johns of Gulf Shores and Michael W. (Linda) Johns of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, William Earl Johns of England; a sister, Louise Courtney of Bluff Springs, Fla.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Scott officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery with Norris Funeral Home directing.
