McBride more than officer's mother
In several articles reporting the Brewton city police chief controversy I was tactfully referred to as “Glover's mother.”
Most of the world's great religions along with their prophets and teachers have said, “An injustice anywhere is a treat to justice everywhere.” That concept has always been a part of my social and religious development, and reflected in the leadership roles that I assume in my daily life.
Whether it be as president of the Southern Normal School Alumni Association, Matron of the Order of the Easter, Matron of The Heroine of Jericho Masonic Order, chairperson of various church committees and my experience growing up in Escambia County as a child and adult employee, or mother with children. Whatever the role I assume, whenever I see an injustice, my Christian duty is to oppose it.
