Monesco Shrine Club is a chartered Shrine Club of ABBA Shrine in Mobile, based in Brewton. The club arranges for paper sales and other fund raising events in Monroe, Escambia and Conecuh counties. On Saturday, Nov. 12, the club held a paper sale in downtown Brewton and at the Brewton Wal-Mart.
All funds collected by Monesco goes to the Shriners Hospitals for Children transportation fund and is used to transport children to and from Shriners hospitals for medical treatment and check up.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of 22 hospitals offering specialized medical care for children, located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Shriners Hospitals for Children are open to children regardless of race, religion or relationship to a Shriner. There is never a charge to a patient or a parent for any service or medical treatment at Shriners Hospitals.
