Mr. James Edwin “Ed” Andrews, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, in a Pensacola, Fla. medical facility after a brief illness. He was a native of Castleberry, a former resident of Atlanta, Ga., and a long time resident of Brewton. He was a member of Brewton First United Methodist Church, a graduate of University of Alabama, member of Phi Sigma Kappa, a U.S. Army and Airforce veteran and retired from Best Foods with 36 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jacqueline Burns Andrews of Brewton; a son, Parker Andrews of Brewton and two grandchildren, Jackie Andrews and Katie Andrews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. at Brewton First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Alan Cave, Joe Cahoon, Joel Gilbert, Geary Gilbert, Terry Gilbert and Joe W. Mundy.
