Rates on sanitation pickups in Brewton will increase beginning Jan. 1, following a unanimous vote by Brewton Mayor Ray Sherer and members of the city council Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Cited for her work in home and community life for the past 32 years, Mrs. Eloise Lovelace of Brewton has been named Escambia County's 1980 Leadership Award winner.
The annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade will get under way Saturday, with a number of activities planned in conjunction with the event.
