Retiring District Judge Hugh Rozelle will be honored next Thursday, Jan. 8, when “Judge Hugh Rozelle Day” has been proclaimed throughout Escambia County.
Starting tomorrow, vehicle license tags go on sale at the Escambia County Probate Office for owners with last names beginning with “A” or “D”.
Three Escambia countians have been appointed to the Region 6 Law Enforcement Planning Agency (LEPA)Advisory Board. LEPA appointees include Brewton City Councilman Gene Hudson, county Tax Collector Leanord Peevy and Atmore Police Chief Bill Smith.
Escambia county has received more than $128,000 as its share of revenue from sale and use of Conecuh National Forest products and services during fiscal year 1980, according to county clerk Ken Taylor.
Mrs. Ella Mae Peavy conducted a piano recital Friday, Dec. 19. Participating were Deanna Alford, Kim Wade, Andy Alford, Angie Byrd, Andrea Wiggins, Jennifer Gatewood, Rebecca Ellis, Michell Jackson, J.J. White, Tammy Story, Dana Steele, Daphne Wiggins, Donna Best and Becky Rice.
