Mrs. Blanche Evangeline Purdy Mooney, 77, of East Oak Ridge Place, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Crandon, Wis., and a former resident of Pensacola, Fla., before moving to Brewton. She was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Lou Mooney Etheredge of Brewton; a brother, Samuel Purdy of Milwaukee, Wis., and two grandchildren, Kristen Diane Etheredge and Ryan Holloway Etheredge.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 14, at 9 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Pensacola with the Rev. Ed Glaize officiating. Burial followed at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola with Faith Chapel and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
