Lady Tigers earn victory over Pleasant Home, 8-3

The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers were able to warm up their bats despite cold temperatures on Thursday to hand Pleasant Home a decisive defeat, 8-3.
The Lady Tigers jumped on top early and were able to hold off a Lady Eagle
T.R. Miller went on top 2-0 in the top of the first inning when Hannah Salter and Rebekah Neal rounded the bases for runs.
Pleasant Home answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning to knot the score at 2-2.
Britni Ballard started the first-inning, two-out rally with a single. She scored when Amy Jacobs followed her in the batting order and ripped an RBI-single. Jacobs came home for the second Pleasant Home run of the inning when Kayla Wiggins belted an RBI-double.
The Lady Tigers from T.R. Miller tied the score back up in the top of the third inning when Teri Lynne Peacock scored.
The game remained tied at 3-3 until the top of the sixth inning when the Lady Tigers scored five runs for an 8-3 lead.
Amanda Holland scored the first run of the sixth inning for the Lady Tigers to give T.R. Miller a 4-3 lead.
The Lady Tigers added four insurance runs when Erin Bryne, Leigh Cooper, Charity Cooper and Lacey Lucas rounded the bases.
Pleasant Home failed to score in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings as the Lady Tigers dug in their claws and held on for an 8-3 win.
