Brewton
Mrs. Sue Evans Robinson, 62, of Cobb Street died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and long-time resident of Escambia County. She was of the Baptist faith and a long time employee of the Brewton Country Club. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Ray Robinson; three sisters, Bertie Bell Evans, Maddie Lee Evans and Estelle Kennedy and one brother, Ed Taylor Evans.
She is survived by two brothers, Earl Evans and James L. Evans, both of Brewton; two sisters, Polly Kirkus of Atmore and Bernice Howard of Brewton and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. William Joyner officiating. Burial followed at Hanberry Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Aubrey Gaston Raines
Evergreen
Mr. Aubrey Gaston Raines, 59, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Evergreen Hospital. He was a native of Escambia County and lived his life in Conecuh County. He was a logger and of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his parents, Charlie Gaston Raines and Nola Raines, both of Repton; his wife, Debbie West of Repton; a daughter, Aubrey Jessica Raines of Repton; a stepdaughter, Lisa Nall; a stepson, Jeremy Hixson; one brother, Thomas Raines of Repton; four sisters, Sylvia Evans, Jeanell Fountain and Karen Kennel, all of Repton, and Deborah Blackmon of Range, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 6, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Holiness Church with the Rev. David Baggett and the Rev. Raymond Wiggins officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Holiness Church Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Richard L. Holt
Flomaton
Mr. Richard L. Holt, 79, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in Flomaton. He was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. He was a member and deacon of the Flomaton First Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army and past owner of Milky Way Restaurant and Richard Holt Home Builders.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances Holt of Flomaton; his son, Melvis Holt of Flomaton; his daughter, Diane (Milton) McNease of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren, Brandon (Tanya) Holt of Jay, Fla., Keith (Roberta) Holt and Vicki (Lee) Barrentine, both of Brewton, Brad Crawley of Greenville, S.C. and Dr. Melissa (Harrison) Smith of Knoxville, Tenn.; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Leon (Grace) Holt and Waymon (Bonnie) Holt, both of Flomaton and C.P. &#8220Pete” (Pat) Holt of Pensacola, Fla. and a sister, Doris (Jimmy) Carden of Flomaton.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, at 2 p.m. at the Flomaton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Keese and the Rev. Dr. Tim McKnight officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Petty Funeral Homes/Eastside Chapel directing. Pallbearers were Brandon Holt, Brad Crawley, Keith Holt, Harrison Smith, Lee Barrentine and Ryan Holt. Honorary pallbearers were his Sunday school class.
